Maasai Land

The Maasai Primary School, located in a village near the Tanzanian border, stands as a beacon of hope for over 300 underprivileged Maasai tribal children. It represents the first educational institution in the area, marking the initiation of formal learning for the local children. Remarkably, these kids, are learning to read and write in Ma (their native tongue), Swahili (so they can speak to people of other tribes), and English (the language of business in all of Africa).

Recently, CRI purchased 1,400 Bibles in the Ma and Swahili languages, specifically for 7th and 8th-grade students. The intention is for these children to carry the Bibles home and read it to their siblings, parents, and grandparents who do not read.

Looking ahead, graduates from the Maasai Primary School will progress to the soon coming Maasai High School, currently in the final stages of construction.
